It was all

a dream.

Brooklyn, like many urban areas across the country, faces a pressing need for youth development programs that address the growing concerns around self-esteem and mental health among young people. According to a study conducted by the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, one in five high school students in Brooklyn reported feeling sad or hopeless for two or more weeks in a row, and one in four reported experiencing low self-esteem. These alarming statistics underscore the urgent need for programs that provide young people with the tools and resources they need to build healthy self-esteem and develop strong mental health. By investing in youth development programs, we can help equip the young people of Brooklyn and surrounding areas with the skills and support they need to thrive and lead successful lives.

“As the founder of WE LOOK IN THE MIRROR INC., and fellow Brooklynite, I aim to make a significant contribution to building the confidence of underserved youth, addressing their basic needs, and providing necessary resources to both them and their caretakers. Through these efforts, I hope to bring about long-lasting change and improve the lives of the youth we serve for the better."
